visibility

Having the best visibility possible is important no matter what time of the year it is. In the spring, you will encounter more rain, showers, and thunderstorms. Over the brutal winter, you may notice that the wiper blades have become brittle and are starting to deteriorate. The sun beating on them, and cold temperatures can cause the rubber to wear out faster than they otherwise should. Make sure to look for signs of a poor windshield wiper and have it replaced as soon as possible. When you take care of the wipers, you will improve the visibility when you drive as well.

Wipers wearing

Notice if the wipers are showing signs of needing to be replaced. You may notice that the wipers do not travel smoothly across the windshield of your vehicle. If they vibrate or make a chattering noise, it will be time to replace them. The blade arms should also be inspected to ensure that there is not any damage to them as well. Also look to see if the wipers leave any streaks or smear marks as they operate across the windshield as well. This could mean that the rubber blade is damaged or old. The best thing to do is to put a new set of windshield wipers on the vehicle.

Proper Visibility with an Inspection

You can check in the owner’s manual to see what size wipers are needed for your vehicle. You can also contact us and we can recommend and advise what ones are best for you. If the vehicle you drive has a rear windshield wiper, make sure to check that as well for any damage. Sometimes these are forgotten about until they are needed. The rear wiper does not operate as frequently as the windshield wipers do. No matter what issues or damage you notice, make sure to bring the vehicle in so we can inspect it for you.
